GrowGreen Power Center integrates hydroponic greenhouse growing system and renewable energy. The first center will be built in Anson County, NC, to serve the southeast region of the US.

Innovative Design is the architect and the overall project coordinator working with many specialty consultants. Renewable energy systems include 4.8 MW Photovoltaics, 43 MW biomass and 8 MW solar thermal. Waste heat from biomass flue gas is used for cooling and heating for the entire facility. A portion of the CO2 from the flue gas will be captured and used for vegetable growth in the greenhouse. Effluent water from various sources will be treated on site and reused.
